Performance Analysis of 3D Concrete Printing Processes through Discrete-Event Simulation

Three-dimensional concrete printing is a technique that has been growing constantly, presenting advantages such as reduced completion times and decreased environmental impact by eliminating the use of formworks. To carry out process, path extruded material movement robot must be programmed. Thus, present research simulated these 3D processes in small 2-floor building 309.06 m2 then 12-floor 10,920 m2. analyze discrete-event simulation was used while considering different variables extrusion speed locations mounted on tracks. The results show when comparing time taken for conventional construction system to construct walls maximum duration 3D-printed walls, this method 45% faster than traditional building, but big there difference 40% favor construction; however, using only 1 whole building. After running same analyses 3 robots instead 1, total 80% process.
